Reports can be quite daunting to write, especially if you’ve never written one before.
A report is factual unlike an essay which demonstrates an opinion. It uses data to present research conducted by an individual. The report may include charts or tables to present the data. It is also split up into different sections.
An executive summary is what your reader will read first, so it’s important to get this right. Although this should be written last!
What makes a good report?
• Determine its purpose
• Write to your readers
• Length matters
• Flow logically
• Review and revise
